Very Informative Book

I consider myself very lucky to have stumbled across your book at Book People on 6th and Lamar.  I read it this past weekend.  And it is fantastic!  I've already told a good number of my friends to order themselves a copy at lulu.com, in case Book People doesn't have any left.  Congratulations on writing an excellent book and getting it out.  Doing something like that takes more effort than people can ever know.  You did a great job.

I do have one question, though.  Everything was crystal clear, except for one recommendation I wasn't sure I understood.

While I realize I can't get my website indexed if I use image links instead of text links to web pages within my site, can I get my site indexed if I use both text links and image links?

I noted the question after I read page 34's tip box:

"Make sure all of the links to your other web pages (from your homepage and amongst themselves) are text links, not an image or graphic link.  Otherwise, you will NOT get indexed!"


My question after reading that was, "Could I still get indexed if I use both text links and image links to web pages within my site?"

Answer: "Hey - Thanks Dale.

Yes - you can (and should) do the links both ways.  In fact, that's exactly how a lot of websites get around this issue, especially if they have designed with a lot of Flash, they also include text links.  Be absolutely sure you have a "contact us" text link, it's most important.
